The third album by Zimbabwean band Mokoomba, a spiritual journey into the heart of Zimbabwean society, culture, and tradition.
On Luyando, Mokoomba modify their rock-oriented lineup for a more raw, acoustic sound, reflected in songs that are rooted in the local traditions and life on the Zambezi river.
Mokoomba have toured over 40 countries worldwide, including performances at Roskilde Festival (Denmark) and WOMAD festival (UK); at home in Zimbabwe, they have played with such icons as Hugh Masekela and Baaba Maal at the annual Harare International Festival of the Arts.
